Oleno State Park-Mother's Day special event

In north central Florida, where fresh water springs abound, we live in the small town of High Springs and right next door to Oleno State Park. One of Florida's first State Parks, Oleno has all the activities an outdoors man can wish for. Whether camping, fishing, hiking, canoing or kayaking, we have enjoyed coming here for over 10 years now.

The trails available for hiking, are my favorite. The River Trail follows along the Sante Fe river to the "river sink" where the river dips underground for over three miles before it rises again to become part of the Suwanee River.
